Christmas Break

Hey guys.

Well FOW Pictures is taking a much needed break for the Christmas holidays, but not without one last new video to keep you all excited for the bright future we have.

Our latest, and most likely last video for 2008 is a short music video we put together. The song used is "Bring Me To Life" by Evanesence and features clips of the video games "Resistance: Fall Of Man" and "Resistance 2".

However, we have a lot of great stuff lined up for you all in 2009. Here's a quick list of confirmed projects that should be coming your way over the course of 2009:

The Quann On Rocketbuster Radio
A short video that contains Andy Quann on RBR and his quest to win a free XBox 360 game.

Shriek Watch Series 1
A "documentary" crew follow Casper, the local masked killer of Stamford in Lincolnshire, as he goes on his killing sprees.

Teenage Filmmaker: The Making Of Not My Time
A documentary showing the fun and the stress of a teenager making a short film.

Christmas In Orlando
Another documentary that follows the Dunne family on their Christmas holiday in Orlando.

He's Back: Terminator & CGI
An in depth look at how CGI effects have helped and hindered the Terminator story.

Broken Britian?
Yet another documentary, showing how British teenagers are portrayed in the media and what we're really doing in our spare time.

The Suplah At TNA: Round 2
The Suplah team once again heads off to TNA, this time in London. This episode will once again feature special guest Keelan Balderson, who is editor of www.wrestlingtruth.com

The Suplah: Goodbye
The final episode of The Suplah. More hard hitting news, more comedy and a look back at some of the best and worse of The Suplah.

Rise Today
A new short film in pre-production. A druggie falls into debt with a gang leader, which leads to people dieing. A tale of redemption.

Shriek Watch Series 2
The show returns

Guitar Zero 2
Daz Jones' story continues with the purchase of the latest Guitar Hero game.

Well thats all in 2009.

Have a great Christmas everybody. From all of us at FOW.

Been Over A Month

Hey guys

I do apologize for the lack of updates. FOW Pictures (along with Dark Angel Pictures) has been recuited by New College Stamford to help out with extensive film work, as well as teach a few Media Studies classes about film editing.

However, we havn't completely abandoned work. Our latest project "Rise Today" is currently in pre-production with a draft being finalised as well as casting already being done.

We've also been coming up with ideas for the second series of Shriek Watch, yes I know the first series isn't up yet, but we're completely sure that you'll all love the series so much that you'll want to continue following Caspers adventures.

The bad news is, all of these projects proberly won't even be in production untill the start of the new year.

Anyway, we do have something for you. We have commentary on the latest FOW Smash Hit short film "Not My Time" featuring Director Liam Dunne, Actor Tom Bancroft, Technical Advisor Michael Watson and Good Friend Rhiannon Taylor.

Not My Time's World Premiere

Hey guys

I just got back from the very first public showing of "Not My Time".

Even though it's not fully finished, the film has been very well recieved, even recieving an applause at the end of the film with a few requests to re-watch it straight after

There has been a few problems with the film, self admittiedly for example some people have unfortnatly considered this film as one of Tom's worse acting performaces. Not that he was bad, just that he's been better in things like Shriek Watch and Watching The Famous. It maybe because Tom likes to play more comedic roles instead of a serious character like he played in this new film.

So I shall just be editing the remaining problems that I can and we should have it up on YouTube this Saturday.

Thanks

Not My Time Officially In Production

Hey guys,

Just a quick blog here telling everybody that our short film "Not My Time" is now being filmed, as we did our first scene this afternoon. We will continue filming on Friday and Monday, with some extra things for the film being done during the next few days.

Hopefully the film will be on the internet in the next few weeks!

I also want to show my gratitude for Zoe Hallam who will be playing the lead in the film. I have been very impressed with her acting skills, and hope she pursues a career in acting.

Michael Watson: Zero To Film Making Hero

Hey guys.

Ok this isn't really FOW Pic's news, however it does concern our good friend Michael Watson (Dark Angel Pictures).

If you didn't Michael is getting his short film "Zero Hour" (which stars FOW Founder Liam Dunne) entered into a national film festival, the same one that launched the career of Shawn Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright.

FOW Pictures entered the same film festival, however we were rejected (really shouln't have submitted Broken Adrenaline LOL!)

Anyway, Here's the short film and below it is the article from the website:

AN ASPIRING young director from Peterborough has earned
a boost for his budding career after his "diabolical" movie
was selected for a national film festival.
Prolific film-maker Michael Watson (17) from Farcet, will see his latest work Zero Hour – a special-effects laden action short about a battle with the devil – premiered at the National Media Museum in Bradford next month.

The Co-operative Young Film-makers Festival helped launch the career of Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright, and Michael hopes it could provide a similar springboard into the movie industry for himself.

He said: "It's great news for me because it isn't easy to get your films shown at a national festival. I submitted a film to the same festival two years ago but was rejected so it's a personal ambition fulfilled for me.

"Any chance to get your work shown and to get involved with industry professionals will really help my portfolio and, hopefully, help get me noticed by other film-makers."

Michael fell in love with movie-making after creating a short film sequence for his GCSE art studies at Stanground College.

Now studying A-levels at New College, Stamford, and hoping to take a course in film production at university, he has become a prolific director – posting 89 videos, including 21 short films on YouTube.

He enlisted friends Liam Dunne and Sara Plumb to star in Zero Hour, a six-minute film shot at Crown Lakes country park near his home.

Inspired by the supernatural thriller Constantine, which stars Keanu Reeves, it tells the story of an action hero battling the forces of evil to avert an apocalypse.

Michael admits the movie is "not his best work" but the special effects – including computer-generated lightning bolts, gunfire and ghostly apparitions – ensured it was the most challenging.

Now his dedication has paid off and the teenager is thrilled his film has been chosen as one of 100 to be shown at the two-day festival starting on Friday, October 9.
"Film-making is something I really enjoy and something I'd love to make a career out of," said Michael, who lists Ridley Scott and Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson among his key influences.

"It's not like a normal, boring desk job – there's a certain escapism to it. For me it means I can have fun doing what I love doing but have an excuse for it."

Best Picture In East Midlands

Hey guys,

Found out yesterday that our short film "Watching The Famous" won the Nobody's Perfect film festival for our catigory, the East Midlands. That contains the countys of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamtonshire, Rutland and (where we're located) Lincolnshire. Out of all them we delivered the best video.

Unfortunatly because we don't live in the London reagion we couldn't get the full prize of making a short film, however we were instead sent the prize of a Samsung SGH-U600 phone worth £100. No offense intended to the organisers of the festival, but I would have prefered to work on the short film, but the Phone is a nice prize never-the-less. So a huge thanks to them and a massive thanks to everybody who went on the site and watched the video, because it made it the 11th most watched video in the entire film festival!

And for those who havn't yet seen Watching The Famous. Here it is:

Not My Time Officially Annouced

Hey guys

Just a quick blog informing you all that pre-production on our latest short film called "Not My Time" has begun.

The film is very dark indeed, and is out of character for us. It's about rape, teenage pregnancy, abortion, religion vs. moral and suicide. From that you can proberly gather the main plot line of the film.

I'm also thinking of making a side project called "Teenage Film Maker" which will document the making of Not My Time. The reason why I'm thinking of making this is because I hear a lot of people saying that film making is really easy, and hopefully this documentary will de-bunk that and show just how hard it is to make a short film.

Untill then though, we will keep you hooked with a brand new trailer for our upcoming web-series "Shriek Watch"

Enjoy!

Shriek Watch Finished

Hey guys, just a very quick update

Every episode of Shriek Watch is now finished, we wrapped up filming at 1:00 am on Friday 22nd of August. All we have left to do now is edit the footage together and add in the special effects, sound effects and music. After that we should be good to go.

Just as a note now, we will be removing Episodes 1 and 2 from our YouTube page in the coming days as we will be doing a slight "re-boot" to the show. Episodes 1 and 2 havn't been re-shot, however we will be tweaking the mistakes made in the episodes (i.e Casper saying Scream Watch in the first episode instead of Shriek Watch) and also adding the latest FOW Pics intro as well as a brand new show intro.

Keep and eye out.

AND AUDITION FOR OUR SHORT FILM LIBERTY!!

Wednesday, 20 August 2008

WE NEED YOU!

Hey guys

just a quick blog here letting you all know that you all have the chance to voice a character in our up-coming short film "Liberty"

So if you are interested in voicing a character or a number of characters for the upcoming "Liberty" short film, here's what to do.

Firstly, you need to grab your best quality microphone, then you need to turn on your recording software and say these lines:

"Ahh I see. But in my opinion Liberty City is the worst place to start your life over again. This city is so corrupt that the police act almost like one of the mob family themselves. I had a friend, couple years back, his name was Niko Bellik, similar story to yours, left his old country to start a new here in Liberty... but he fell straight back into the work he tried to leave behind. Drugs, Guns, Death... everything, and worse, was a daily occurrence."

Once you've done that, save it and then e-mail the audio file to us at
fowwepics@gmail.com

Honestly, this "audition" isn't to see who's the greatest voice actor, it's generally to see how good your microphone is.

This is a great oppoutinty, and we hope that giving you guys a chance at somthing like this will show you how much we appreciate your support!

So thanks guys, hope to get some of your voice work soon :)

Been A While

So it's been about 16 or 17 days since I last made a small update. So I thought I'd do one.

The main reason why we havn't been posting as many blogs is because we're currently finishing filming on our short series called "Shriek Watch". We still have a little bit of filming to do that should be completely finished in a few days, then it's onto the editing business and then finally we should be getting 1 episode up a week. Keep an eye out for that.

We've also been busy filming out latest series called "Market Town". It's a sketch show similar to Little Britain and it follows the adventures of a teenager who has recently moved to "Market Town" and is unlucky enough to run into the towns more... colourful characters.

Lastly we've also been finalising the script for our Liberty film. Now we should be accepting voice overs and the such.

Anyway, thats all for now

AND DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE MICKIE KNUCKLES INTERVIEW!

Mickie "Moose" Knuckles Interveiw

Hey everybody

Just would like to update you all on whats going on lately wth us.

Well earlier today I managed to get into contact with TNA Knockout Mickie "Moose" Knuckles and asked if she could do an interview for us on the 11th episode of The Suplah. Which she has agreed. This is a very big deal so be fore to keep an eye on out on YouTube for the video as it shall be up on Wednesday 6th August.

Also, uploaded earlier this week was the music video for MCW's wrestling event on the 6th of July which was recorded by myself and Michael (www.youtube.com/mickall) and also edited by Michael. So enjoy the video:

Suplah Week 10 Contraversy

Well it has come to my attention that The Suplah Week 10 Uncut version has caused a bit of contraversy, and in so has apparently lost us help from somebody from the writers guild who was trying to help us get more exposure in the film business.

I was shown that I apparently use the word "gay" as an insult aimed towards Tom multiple times though out the show. This may make it look like I am homophobic. Believe me I am not homophobic, I have a number of gay and bisexual friends and I have always believed in doing what makes you happy (as long as your not killing or hurting people... cause thats just weird).

I was also told that in the video, it appears that I try and assassinate Tom's character and belittle him on camera for amusement. This is also false. If I had ANYTHING against Tom, he would not even be featured in any FOW Projects let alone be the main star for nearly all of the things we did. Tom is one of my best friends and I would NEVER think of hurting him in that way.

What the camera caught was the last few moments of the day. There had been a lot of issues before hand when filming new episodes of our web series "Shriek Watch" like creative differances between myself and Tom, add that onto the fact it was uncomfortably hot, only having 4 hours sleep and being extremlt hungry all adds up to one very grumpy Liam.

Same with Tom. I had been getting on his nerves all day aswell. And it was just unfortnunate that the camera was on when the "Explosion" happened.

I deeply regret what I said during the filming of The Suplah, but I do get very nasty when I get angry (a trate I picked up from my father) and sometimes I can't control my temper and I say and do things that I know I will regret.

Thanks to everybody who has kept supporting us though out this time, we still have plenty of great new stuff coming up for you, including some great new episodes of Shriek Watch and a brand new web-series called "Market Town". So keep your eye out for it :)

Everything Alright

Hey guys

Just wanted to update you on the situation of Tom.

Both sides have been talking and we have settled any differences we had and we're back in buisness and even talking about a possible new skit show.

So thanks to everybody, and look out for uncut Suplahs on google videos.

FOW Pictures on Hiatus

Well... err.

It seems Tom Bancroft, who is the main actor in FOW Pictures, may have left the group for good.

Earlier today, Tom and myself seemed to have had a small argument, which resulted in Tom storming out of my house during the filming of the 10th episode of The Suplah.

With Tom now possibly out of FOW Pictures, that means that many of our up-coming projects may be on hiatus untill we can get some new people with acting experiance. Unfortunatly though if Tom does remain out of the group, it will see the end of the Shriek Watch series (which we just finished filming Episode 6), aswell as stopping any production on the up-coming Liberty film, as well as the Guitar Zero sequal we were planning for this winter.

I will just take this time to express my opinion of what's happened today.

Tom left because apparently I was moaning to him all day. Ok so I admit I can be a bit of a handful when it comes to filming as I basically need everything to be perfect, and if it's not it winds me up. However during the filming of The Suplah, Tom (who was off camera) was doing everything he possibly could to try and get himself noticed on the show itself, interupting at random points during the show with completely useless gags that wern't funny and just disturbed the flow of the show itself. This was getting on mine and Andy's nerves so (because it's the kind of person I am) I told Tom to shut up and let us finish filming. He then continued to be a pratt where at one point he accidently kicked my laptop, the one I do all my film work on. I then had a go at Tom for that, which resulted in him storming out.

I later found out that Tom had been annoyed at me all day because I had a go at him about misplacing my PS3 controller and the tripod to the camera.

Unfortunatly, what Tom seem's to not understand is that these are MY things, and he's treating them with the utter most disrespect. If I went over to his house, misplaced his X-Box controller, messed up his bedroom, used his house as if it was a hotel with it's own maid and then kicked his computer (even if it was by accident) I'm pritty sure he'd feel the exact same way I felt.

Now I can hear many of you saying "why did you have a go at him for accidently kicking your laptop", yeah ok that would be fair enough, thing is though is that he didn't even apologise for kicking it, all he kept saying was that is was by accident. Yeah? That's ment to make everything ok is it? What if he accidently kicked the laptop so hard that it fell off the bed and broke? It may have been an accident but I would expect him to apologise and buy be a new one. Now I'm not saying he has to get me a new laptop, but the fact that he didn't even apologise is what annoyed me.

Tom seem's to forget what I have done for him. I personally chose him to be my main actor in FOW's films and shows. I made it so that he can add the fact he's been in 3 films that were entered into film festivals onto his CV. Me casting him into the films gave him a MUCH bigger portfolio than what he would have had AND if it wasn't for ME casting him in our films, Tom would never have been contacted by somebody who used to be in the media writing guild helping him try and get his big break in Hollywood.

The ever so lovely Mr. Bancroft has yet to realise that all of this wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for me. Hopefully after reading this though he may just realise that fact, get over himself and come back and finish off these films.

Brand New Liberty Trailer

Well here's a trailer for our upcoming film named "Liberty"

as you can proberly tell, the film is made using the video game "Grand Theft Auto"

We did this because this technique gives us many new oppotunities. I mean let's face it, we're not going to be able to hire out the whole of New York City, blow up helicopters in mid air and have people flying all over the place because of the explosions (which again is hard to do with the current stage we're at). However at the same time, it gives us more limitations, for example our control on the film is less in this one due to the computer doing basically whatever it wants. But stay tuned, shall be an interesting film if it's not a good one :)

Starting The Blog With A Smile On Our Faces

Hey guys.

Ok, well this is the first blog here on the site, and it will be used to basically just tell people who are interested on upcoming things with FOW Pics. Like upcoming project's or important news.

Now the first entry into our blog is about VERY big news indeed.

As you may know from watching "The Suplah Week 9", I recently did some work for the UK based wrestling company MCW, along with my good friend and fellow film maker Michael Watson (www.youtube.com/mickal).

It turns out that MCW are planning to get a TV deal on the UK sports channel "Sky Sports". If they manage to get this slot, they will continue to have us as their film crew and allow us to put our logo's in the show, i.e in the opening of the show and on the skirting of the ring.

Now, obviously this isn't a done deal, and even if they do get the TV pilot we don't know when they want to do it. So we're trying out best to not get our hopes up about it, but hopefully for the UK citizens, they'll see FOW Pictures on their TV screens soon.

In other great news, FOW Pics actor Tom Bancroft has been talking to somebody on youtube who believes him to be a great actor, and has forwarded to him a list of agents. This is great for Tom because now he may be able to star in actual films, but bad for us as we'll lose him and (with him being the main character in a lot of our stuff) some of the shows/films we have planned may have to be scrapped (I hate it when films replace the actor's)
